God’s design for a wonder-filled marriage is amazing—and specific!
By specific, I mean that to benefit from the wonder of God’s design, we must follow that design; when we do, the door is open for us to pursue the marriage of our dreams!
Unfortunately, with the seismic, cultural shifts occurring in our age the very definitions of marriage, love, and gender are being rewritten as society moves away from God’s design.
In our day of shifting values…
WE AFFIRM that God has designed marriage to be a covenantal, sexual, procreative, lifelong union of one man and one woman, as husband and wife, and is meant to signify the covenant love between Christ and his bride the church.
WE DENY that God has designed marriage to be a homosexual, polygamous, or polyamorous relationship. We also deny that marriage is a mere human contract rather than a covenant made before God.
Marriage was God’s idea. We don’t get to redefine what He said it was.
There is an aura of the divine in this thing we call marriage: God’s stamp is on it. Marriage is the world’s best, natural representation of the relationship between Jesus and His bride, the church. Pursuing it in the context of His design leads to depths and delights in this special relationship that are out of this world!
What a joy it is to see the blessing of God on couples as they embrace God’s design and experience a wonder-filled marriage!
